CORONA, CA (June, 2018) - The youth movement in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will continue June 15 when Toni Breidinger makes her series debut in the Herr’s Potato Chips 200 from Madison International Speedway at Oregon, Wisconsin.
The Friday evening race on Madison’s fast half-mile oval will be televised live by MAVTV the Motorsports Network starting at 9:00pm ET with re-air at 12:00am PT.
Breidenger, an 18-year-old from Hillsborough, California, is USAC’s all-time winningest female driver with 14 victories on paved tracks. Those wins came in open-wheel cars, however, and she said, “there’s going to be a pretty big learning curve” in a stock car.
She will join Venturini Motor Sports teammates Natalie Decker, Chandler Smith and Eddie Fatscher in a series that after eight races is locked in an exciting championship points race dominated by young drivers.
Sheldon Creed, a 20-year-old from Alpine, California, took the lead with his first career win June 8 at Michigan International Speedway and is 50 points ahead of teammate and former leader Zane Smith, 20, of Huntington Beach, California. Smith had gone into the event with a 10-point lead but finished 11th, one lap down. Riley Herbst, a 19-year-old from Las Vegas, finished second and is third in the standings.
