Statesville, North Carolina (August 16, 2022) – On the heels of another unexpected month off from racing, the Super Cup Stock Car Series gets back into gear with the next event and also has an announcement regarding an added date to the schedule.

Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Virginia will host a jam-packed evening of competition, featuring the A.L.L. Construction Twin 50s for the SCSCS, on Saturday, August 20th for a general admission price of only $15. The Radford, Virginia venue hosted two series events in 2021 for the first time and was well-received by each of the competitors.

The initial green flag will fly before the sun sets and will be presented by Trick Shot Sustainable Products, a generous partner of the series which recently announced a deal to all SCSCS members, supporters, and fans by going to https://itdoesthetrick.com/shop/ and entering coupon code (dashes included) THANK-YOU-SCSCS-25 to save 25% on any purchase of $15 or more.

The second 50-lap main event will occur under the stars and is presented by STAAR Trucking, a customer-centric leader in the trucking and shipping industry. Additionally on the program of entertainment, the 0.416-mile oval will include twin features for their local Late Models as well as multiple other divisions.

The largest field of the year so far is expected with multiple drivers making their season debut. Grandstand gates will open at 4:00 p.m. with a full docket of racing getting underway at 7:00 p.m.

Both SCSCS winners at Motor Mile in 2021 are currently the frontrunners for the championship in 2022. Most recent winner at Jennerstown, Jason Kitzmiller, leads Ben Ebeling by 47 points heading into the weekend. There will be a slight points reset following the night, with a competitor’s two worst performances dropped for the tally prior to the final stretch of races.

On the topic of the latter part of the season, it has been announced that the third time will be a charm when it comes to racing in the Tarheel State in 2022. An agreement has been reached to conclude the season on Saturday, October 22nd at Hudson, North Carolina’s Tri-County Speedway. The series has not held an event at the 4/10-mile oval since its initial season in 2008, which was also the first ever points race.

The SCSCS participation as part of the historic track’s continued rebirth would not be possible without various partners, which will be detailed closer to the race date.
