A Season Premiere, Two New Programs, Five Live Events, Special Programming and More Featured in January on MAVTV and MAVTV Plus
CORONA, Calif. (January 3, 2022) - MAVTV Motorsports Network returns for the new year with a schedule full of exciting content for automotive enthusiasts. Subscribers will get to enjoy a new season premiere, two new programs, two live events, special programming and more. Starting this year off with Monster Jam airing Fridays at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time and Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, January 1, at 5 p.m. Eastern time - featuring the most action-packed motorsports event on four wheels. World-class driver athletes and the most recognizable trucks tear up the dirt and compete in intense competitions of speed and skill.
The following week, Lake of the Ozarks part one will air Sunday, January 9, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. Part two will be broadcasted two weeks later on Sunday, January 23, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. Rod Smith and Bob Teague co-host what is known as the largest unsanctioned race in the country. This charity event has raised millions of dollars since its inception and the funds all go to local charities and first responder organizations.
On Saturday, January 15, the motorsports network will debut the Sports Car Championship Canada at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. The Sports Car Championship Canada is the country’s premier road racing series. Formed in 2021, the SCCC is made up of two classes - the mighty GT4 division and the TC Canada class. Then, at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time the Tulsa Shootout will air - featuring the largest micro sprint racing event in the country. Immediately following will be the highly anticipated Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals Live Event at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time. Packed with an amazing roster of the best drivers from stock car, open wheel, late models, and drag racing, each competitor will vie for the chance to win the coveted Golden Driller award.
The excitement continues the following evening - Sunday, January 16, at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time with a new season of Super Cup Stock Car Series. The fifth season features the 600 hp, 3300 lb steel bodied cars formerly associated with the Hooters Pro Cup Series competing on short tracks across four states.
The final week of January will feature the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, the premier national touring sanctioning body for dirt super late models. The live event will air from Golden Isles Speedway on January 27. For air times, please check your local listings.
MAVTV PLUS also has an exciting lineup of live events this month. Starting off with the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals which will air from the River Spirit Expo Center on Saturday, January 15, at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time. Followed by three days of coverage for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series from Thursday, January 27, through Saturday, January 29. MAVTV PLUS will close out the month with the final race in the Late Model Dirt Series at Bubba Raceway Park on Monday, January 31. For air times, please check MAVTVPlus.com.
