MAVTV BRINGS PRODIGY RACING LEAGUE TO NETWORK AND STREAMING SERVICES

MAVTV announced today its latest race event series, Prodigy Racing League. Premiering March 2 at 9pm ET/PT, this first-of-its-kind show provides detailed racing coverage and goes inside the action of the world’s first gaming-to-real racing league, where 30 global competitors battle across 10 intense rounds in the inaugural Prodigy Three (P3) Championship series.

Prodigy Racing League delivers high-energy race coverage of its 10-round series, providing viewers with expert analysis, driver features, and insights from team principals, and coaches—like Pietro Fittipaldi, Katherine Legge, Boris Said, Tatiana Calderón—as well Racing Prodigy leadership. The six Prodigy Racing Teams—Williams, Guild, and G2 Esports, Thibaut Courtois Racing, BS+COMPETITION, and SuckerPunch—go head-to-head in 24 sprint races, leading to a two-race Playoff where a championship-winning team is crowned, along with one racer as the “Prodigy of the Year." Adding to the pressure, only 20 of the original 30 drivers will advance to next year’s Prodigy Two (P2) Championship in this high-stakes format: win and advance; lose and go home.

“Bringing a true virtual-to-real racing experience to our audience is what makes Prodigy Racing League such an exciting addition to MAVTV,” said CJ Olivares, President of MAVTV. “We see ‘fan development’ as a key responsibility and an essential part of our programming strategy. What better way to do that than showcasing the next evolution in motorsports. We're exposing the new “digital” generation of fans to the thrills of the track.”

By capturing the raw emotions of these racing prodigies as they navigate the real-world demands of professional racing, the Prodigy Racing League delivers an electrifying viewing experience that captivates both long-time racing enthusiasts and the rapidly growing esports audience.

“This league bridges the gap between virtual and real-world motorsports,” said David Cook, CEO of Racing Prodigy. “Traditionally, the high costs of pursuing a racing career limit most who aspire to chase their dream; our mission at Racing Prodigy is to remove those barriers to open motorsports to all. Through esports racing competitions, we have discovered virtual drivers who can immediately rival—and even outperform—seasoned pros in actual race cars. The world’s first e2Real sports league will revolutionize motorsports for generations to come. We’re proud to partner with MAVTV to give these racing prodigies a platform to show the world that they are the future of professional racing.”

Catch each new episode of Prodigy Racing League on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT this spring on MAVTV, available via cable providers including YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Spectrum, DirecTV, Verizon, U-verse and many more. MAVTV GO Premium subscribers can enjoy all episodes of the special series through the App a day after they premiere on the network.
