Exclusive Live Home of the First Motos from All 12 Rounds of the Season

CORONA, Calif. (May 28, 2021) – MAVTV Motorsports Network, the only television network in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to motorsports, is pleased to announce its broadcast schedule for the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. MAVTV will serve as the centerpiece of the broadcast package for the world’s most prestigious off-road motorcycle racing series, positioned as the exclusive home of live network coverage for the first motos of both the 250 Class and 450 Class for all 12 rounds of the championship.

Season-opening coverage of the Fox Raceway I National, from Pala, California’s Fox Raceway, begins Saturday, May 29, at 4 p.m. ET on the Motorsports Network. MAVTV serves as part of a network collective for the Pro Motocross Championship that also includes NBC and NBC Sports Network.

Domestic coverage of Pro Motocross on MAVTV for the 2021 season will consist of 24 total hours of live telecasts. The action kicks off with the Fox Raceway I National (May 29), which begins a journey across the country throughout the summer. The annual visit to Colorado’s Thunder Valley Motocross Park (June 5) is followed by a Father’s Day Weekend showcase from Pennsylvania’s High Point Raceway (June 19) and an Independence Day celebration from Michigan’s RedBud MX (July 3). The legendary sands of Massachusetts’ The Wick 338 will welcome the return of the championship on July 10 before the season reaches its halfway point with a visit to Minnesota’s Spring Creek MX Park (July 17). The second half of the championship gets underway from Washington’s Washougal MX Park (July 24), followed by New York’s historic Unadilla MX (August 14), Maryland’s Budds Creek Motocross Park (August 21), and Indiana’s Ironman Raceway (August 28). The season comes to a close with a California doubleheader, with a second visit to Fox Raceway (September 4) and the season finale from Sacramento’s Hangtown Motocross Classic (September 11), the oldest race in American motocross.

“We are excited to once again anchor live broadcast coverage of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship for the 2021 season,” said John Duff, Head of Content, MAVTV Motorsports Network. “This storied championship features some of the toughest, most talented athletes on the planet, who lay it all on the line each and every week, over the course of 24 motos, in hopes of capturing the sport’s most prestigious title. We’re proud to bring the passionate motocross fans across the country the live coverage they crave, and we’re eager to get the new season underway.”

A veteran lineup of on-air talent will bring all the action from the 2021 season to viewers, with Jason Weigandt, the proverbial voice of American motocross, handling hosting and play-by-play duties alongside analyst and multi-time Pro Motocross Champion Grant Langston. Complementing their efforts from the track will be pit reporters Will Christien and Ashley Reynard, who becomes the newest addition to the broadcast team.
